After quite a long hiatus on the performance front, I had the pleasure of performing with a crazy awesome hip hop/lounge group this past weekend.  Kalri$$ian is composed of mc's and a d.j. who rap about serious business aka drugs, alcohol and the ladies.  Think.... Too Short in a 70's ear Boogie Nights atmosphere.   These guys are so much fun and really talented.  A few of them are also in a couple other groups,  Celsius 7 and  Psychokinetics.  I had a absolute blast hanging out with them and my other fellow dancing kitty.

Smooth Rick Chosen is a mildly schizophrenic male prostitute with an in-pants sidekick named Perseus. Chachi Harlem is his Fandango-puppet-obsessed partner in crime. Tyrone Shoelaces is a hard-drinking former schoolboy pimp with severe women issues. Felix Livinglow is their smooth-talking, scatalogically-obsessed British friend.

Together, and joined by legendarily mustachioed production team Keylo Venezuela and "Uncle" Tony Highrise, these engagingly foul-mouthed misfits are KALRI$$IAN.

Their debut record "Tales from the Velvet Pocket" does with 50s and 60s lounge music what "Enter the Wu-Tang" did with kung-fu movies - setting a substance-fueled James Bond backdrop for the unadulteratedly sleazy tale of a money-losing male escort service, a botched casino robbery, and pervasive sexual depravation. Featuring guest appearances from Mickey Avalon and Dirt Nasty, it's the black comedy hip hop album of the year.

A day in the life, found my coat and grabbed my hat.

I shared a great day with some friends on Wednesday.  The weather was absolutely perfect which has now turned back to rain.  We started out in the park across from my house and had a picnic and some nice white wine.  As we drank the beautiful nectar we chatted about life, work and men.  We ended the night with music from my favorite local band, Gaucho who plays amazing gypsy jazz.  Gaucho makes me feel like I live in a bygone era, like I am in a fancy parlor with all kinds of interesting people.  I highly suggest you check them out if you life in SF.  They play every Wednesday at Amnesia.  These pictures are as the day progressed.  I changed my outfit 3 times, ha!  I love wearing different outfits throughout the day.

On a hill overlooking

I headed to Golden Gate park for a free concert this weekend.  It was nice to leave the mission since I find myself never doing so.  GG park is gorgeous and the weather was perfect.  As we sat on the hill a lil friend showed up next to our blanket, it was the cutest gofer, I was so excited!

My lady friend lives on the top floor of tall building on a very popular street corner. I love hanging out and watching out her window, this time there was a awesome band playing across from her house on the opposite corner. They were called The Ferocious Few. I took a couple videos of them playing. They were surprisingly great. We had lots of fun Saturday night. I'll post some more photos of the after dark escapades soon.

What is there to say that hasn't been said all over the world already, the man was a Icon. He lived a almost, sad life. I always felt sorry for him. I remember being a lot younger and seeing a made for T.V movie about his family. His dad was so mean to him. I'll never forget how that movie affected me and to this day makes me feel sorry for him. I love his music, it always makes me happy and puts me in a dancing mood. I hope we can remember the good things about this spectacular man. I also hope his children can have a more normal existence and not grow up in a constant spotlight like he did.

His clothing was so amazing, I was watching a show on TV about him just now and he was wearing the leg chain, just like the ones that Litter SF, is making now. He was always well dressed and put together even if it sometimes included masks and other weird things. RIP MJ, you will always be here in music!

I go through fazes and right now I am feeling the 70's vibe. I have been craving folky shirts and big bell bottoms and simple dresses. The other night I went out with some ladies to a reggae/dub night in the mission (my hood). We had a great time dancing to awesome live reggae and dub.
