I Long for you to be short

I thrifted this new with tags, 80's skirt a few weeks ago because I loved the high waist with buckles.  It was, however a really weird length, I knew I wanted to shorten it but just got around to it today.  I'm usually not the biggest fan of Khaki but this skirt had major potential. I can't wait to style it with tights, boots and something fun as the top.  

Pleasue Principle inspired DiY

After seeing this collection by Pleasure Principle, I wanted something similar with out forking out the hundreds of dollars.  I was going for the tank dress (it's black on the web site) with the drapy back and large knot, but as my projects usualy do, it ended up taking a diffrent turn. It ended up turning into more of a cape front drapey back thing.   I really love how it turned out and I can't wait to wear it. 

I started out by tracing another tank dress and tee that I had for the basic shape.

And on me, in the mirror, looking huge....lol It's really not as unflattering as it appears to be here, I look about twice my size in these photos.

Birds in a cage

A new store opened a few months ago on 16th st. in the mission, close to Guerrero.  This is such a bad story because I can't remember what it is called (I even tried to google it) but they have great things ranging from clothing, jewelry to antique mirrors and decor.  These pics are from the window, isn't it pretty.

10th anniversary party for the beauty bar sf

I ended up at the 10th anniversary party at the beauty bar after my holiday party for work.  It was a fun night full of friendly people who looked amazing.

Acting like a crackhead who works at Burger King

Mrs. Smaggle has just posted about her acting career and It inspired me and made me think how fun it was back in the day to act. The last play I did was in Seattle and was great. We got amazing reviews and went down in history. The concept was really unique. I played a x prostitute that now works at Burger King. The stage was on the real street in front of the gallery and the audience was inside looking out a huge window. It was wild because we had to deal with real people who weren't part of the play heckling us and just go with it. To read more about the amazing concept and the play check out Vital 5 Productions. Saturday Sf Safari

I got a new camera!!!  These are actually the last photos taken with my old crappy camera.  My sweetie was sweet and got me a camera when we were out the other day (using the gift certificate my mom gave him last christmas).  We went on a city safari, being that we are always holed up in the mission/dolores park area where we live, we decided to go check out a new hood.  The Marina was our choice of location, which was interesting.  We had some great food at a sushi place known for having hot waitresses, I guess that means all blonds with big and sometimes fake breasts, it was very L.A, the food  was great though.  We also hung out and had lunch in SOMA.  It was a fun adventure all over the city.
