Inspired!

Eyeliah of Style Symmetry is having a contest.   The challenge is to choose someone's outfit you are drawn to and inspired by via Wardrobe Remix.  She has a sweet prize package ready to send to the winner.  Last I heard she didn't have many entries so I urge you to give it a try.  I have been a longtime Wardrobe Remixer, off and on that is.  I don't update as much as I used to but I love checking out all the fun outfits.  Wardrobe remix was started long ago by Trisha of Bits and Bobbins.   She had the idea long before  the crop of new websites.  Wardrobe remix inspired me to start this lil ol blog that I have been doing for almost 2 years, my anniversary is on valentines day. How sweet is that?

Here's my inspired outfit. (see previous post for the outfit I was inspired by)

It happens a few times a year, it gets really hot and people gets really excited, at least I do.  This outfit is very much me.  I love vintage style and feeling dressed up and pretty.  I feel very well put together in this.  It is very matchy matchy but in a good way!

New boots and New hair color

Details of dress

The new boots!

New hair color!
Dress-Ross
Necklaces-thrifted and Jeremy's department store
Boots-Ebay (Charles David)
Bracelets-Random thrifted

My new boots got here finally. How I acquired them is a great story.  One day I was thinking about brands of things I had that I really love and are good quality.  I decided to look up Charles David boots on ebay to see what was out there.  I found these brand new, never worn boots in my size.  They were only at 10.00$, so I figured I would bid up to 20$ just to see what happens.  I ended up winning them at 10.50$ and with 10$ for shipping the cost was so minimal.

When they arrived they had a price tag on the box for 325$, Amazing!!  They are so soft and comfortable, I'm in love.  Perfectly in for this season, with all the boots I saw at nordstrom having various buckles.   Last season it was buttons and I have a couple pairs with lots of button details and I still love them, but now I have the buckles too!  Yeaaaaa, for Ebay, I have renewed hope for you.

I also colored my hair really bright copper, it was driving me crazy being a weird in between color.

I heart creme lacy shirts!

I have so many cream lacy shirts, this one is actually really long with ruffles along the bottom that I added to it, but it is tucked so you can't see them.   I just love the look of the cream with the black.  These pictures are after I added color back to my hair, it's still not quite perfect, but much better than it was earlier today.

Yummy Sushi!

Here is my later-in-the-day outfit for thursday.  My boyfriend says I look like a 70's airline stuartist.  For some reason whenever I wear navy blue I get comments like that, it has happened before.  We went out for sushi and I finally got to be social after being all lonely all week with nothing to do.  I have been keeping busy, but I always function better when I have time constraints.  Tomorrow I work again, so all the many posts this week are to make up for the days when I actually have things to do.

Outfit for today

The Bf was working from home today so I got him to do a quick shoot.  The dress was found at a thrift store, it has cute little birds as the print, I think it's adorable. It needed to be shortened to make it a better length so I did that then had it cleaned.  I just got it back from the cleaners and was finally able to wear it.

Outfit for today

I have been majorly slacking in the outfit posting, sorry!   I have been trying to get my etsy store filled up and have been making, dyeing and creating.  It is also hard to get the boyfriend to take pictures of me, he has been really busy as well.  Finally I convinced him to take one shot this morning. It's not so bad considering  I only had one shot, I do look a little mean but I assure you that is not the case.  Here are the dets of the outit.

T-shirt-thrifted then cut up and hemmed to make smaller (it has a weird guy on it with all the writing in German)
Vest-thrifted then I added the ruffles and the iron on patch which is vintage and says "going my way"  with a little thumbs up.

Although this pic is much better quality than that web cam shots, I am wearing no make up and the sun in in my eyes, oh well.  It was a gorgeous day today in sf, I was inside most of the day working on clients, but I heard it was 80 degrees.  As i left the salon around 7 it was still semi warm outside, a rarity for SF.  SO here is my outfit for today

Dress-buffalo exchange via soundgirl

Scarf-Seattle street festival via india

Hopefully my boyfriend will start helping me take pictures soon cause these webcam shots are so blurry and lame.  But at least I have been doing it everyday.  I can only hope his new d80 can take a much better pic.
