Vintage clothing inspiration

Dreaming of yellow

I have been really wanting some yellow shoes lately and have been dreaming of yellow things.  I made a set to satisfy the yellow craving!

Hair sculptures

These hair designs are so inspiring to me.  I wish I got to do updo's like I used to when I did a lot of weddings in Seattle.  It was so much fun to create sculptures out of hair.  I need to get some long haired friends over and practice some sculpturing.  Pictures from www.fashion156.com

Selling clothing

Today I went to my local Buffalo Exchange for the first time ever.  It was so great.  The people who worked there were the friendliest buffalo exchange people I have ever met.  The people at the Seattle locations were always acting too cool.  I sold almost everything I brought in and got a lil over 100$ in trade.  I scored big on the exchange items.  I got some amazing goldish gladiator sandles, a yellow armani exchange blouse, a gorgeous victorian inspired grey sweatshirt (hard to imagine I know), a great longish black hoody with drawstring waist and a supercute cream with red polkadots tshirt with bib front.
After that adventure I went to Thriftown and got some more awesome stuff.  A new dress, some really neat vintage cropped flaired pants,  cute skinny white belt, Old school Wild pair netted shoes, and some drawstring wideleg hippy pants.
I love SF for shopping, it really is amazing!

I saw some great pink ensembles at Dolores park on sunday here are some examples.  I adore the shot I got of the dog jumping through the hoop.  I also LOVE the bustle dress with the silver bow!

Sunday adventures to Muir woods and beyond

We decided to go on a adventure today.  It was great to get out of the city and see some nature, I needed it.   As we were driving across the golden gate bridge we saw some peace marchers all dressed in pink with 2 huge peace signs made out of wire covered with flowers, they were beautiful.  I tried to get a shot of it but, as we were driving it was hard with my old camera.
I had no idea that Muir woods was so close to the city as well as a national monument.  The 300-1000 year old trees were so tall, large and beautiful.  On the way home we stopped at the exploratorium and that was a nice surprise in the city.  We saw a beautiful bride as we walked up, the bride and groom were on the ground on top of each other taking pic's, it was cute.  I felt like I was in a whole new city today, it was great!

new creations

Here are the purses I designed and created last week, the black one is leather and the silver/black one is made out of a vintage brocade skirt.  I found the leather at a thrift store in many pieces and pieced it together, then added the tassels, grommets and studs

captured out and about

Emily and I went out on the town wearing some of my designs, Busltebelts, necklaces and headbands.  Here is a pic of us from the paparazzi at the fashion party we went to.
