New year, new path
For the new year, I have decided to see how much I can NOT shop. Yes, I said it, no shopping. I have so so so much already and I need to incorporate my wardrobe into new ideas. Last year was filled with way too much shopping as in a couple times a week. I have so many great pieces and yet they sit in the closet with out getting enough love because there are too many pieces to play with. In the mean time I will be trying to incorporate things I have not worn for a long time, mainly to see if I still want them around but also to have more fun with my wardrobe. I have to keep it very simple for work, only wearing black/white/grey. Sometimes I wear prints with other colors in them but it's rare for work. I have realized that I need more color in my life. On my days off I am planning on dressing with more color, it is much needed especially in the winter as I start to feel the winter blues. Heres to more color in my life. Blogger is not letting me upload any photos now, so maybe an update later. I went through all my old photos and found some really colorful outfits that I wanted to post to remind myself how much color I used to wear. Cheers to the new year!
I will be slowly adding lots of vintage things to my etsy store. I have cleaned out my closet and there will be lots of vintage dresses, a couple beautiful coats, and some blouses.

Inspiration, Japan!!
I love the androgyny of the Japanese. The coats in these photos are amazing too, the green velvet and green floor length are my faves here. All photos from Drop Snap.

Random vacation pictures!
I got to leave my lovely city to return to two of my favorite cities for the holidays. It was a extended trip filled with reconnecting with some of my bestest friends and dive bars where I hung out when I was a wee 21 year old. Funny thing is that my hometown hasn't changed much except for a ton of new chains stores like Target and Wallmart. It's a bit crazy and I tend to get lost easily because everywhere I go it looks completely new. I'm such a dork that many of my pictures were of peoples cute pets.

Happy New Year!
My lady kidnapped me from Portland to go to Seattle for new years eve. I was there for about one day and then back to Portland. I had a great time on new years eve with all the party hopping and hot tubbing early in the morning. I just wish I would have been able to reconnect with more friends, funny thing is a few of my friends were actually in SF. Tomorrow is my 31st birthday. It's quite amazing how time flies. I want to go bowling, it was a tradition when I lived in Seattle for about 10 years and I'm ready to start it again it. Happy new year, and Thanks again for reading about my life, how ever boring it might be. ;)

Let's play along, shall we

Ms. Sally Jane was tagged to do this little post. I thought it sounded like fun and was hoping it wouldn't be too crazy of a picture. The rules are.........
1. Go to the 4th folder in your computer where you store your pictures.
2. Pick the 4th picture in that folder.
3. Explain the picture.
4. Tag 4 people to do the same!
I went to Italy in May of 06, It was stunning and so amazing. This picture was taken at a art studio in Carrarra Italy. This town is where all the white marble comes from and where Michelangelo choose all of his marble for his great works. We got to take a tour of this great studio. It was really neat to see all the works in progress and to meet the artists. Amazingly they knew my boyfriends aunt Susan Lowenhertz, who also lived in Carrara at the time and was a marble sculptor as well. Sadly miss Susan passed away but her amazing talents still live on today.
I tag whoever wants to play along, come on now, its fun.

Floating like Feathers
Here I am wearing my snow outfit. It started snowing again today, it's so pretty with the biggest flakes I have ever seen, floating like feathers. It's nice to see it coming down and not just being a nuisance on the ground. All my friends are stuck at their houses. I'm really hoping it will start to melt a bit so I can see my friends who live here and are home for the holidays. I have been away for over 2 years, its really nice to be here. I'm glad I brought my muppet fur boots with me. I Have 2 pairs and the black ones VS the white ones are my favorite now.

This is one flake, for reals!

Happy Holidays!
Here are some recent non fashion related pics to leave you for the holidays when I am away. I might be posting in the next week or so. I most likely will be at some point. My mom just showed me the most beautiful coat she got. It's vintage made here in portland by this amazing old company that was bought out by Nordstrom when they started selling clothing. It was there first clothing line. I will take some pictures of it to post soon. It has square glass beads all over it and so much detailing that it almost look like its from a hill tribe in thailand, besides the fact that it is all black. I want to steal it, but she isn't ready to give it up yet.

OMG!

I had to repost this picture from my fave goth lolita site. How cute is that cat. I actually love putting make up on cats and now that I have said that I must post a pic of my fave make up job on the cute lil cosmo (first pic). He is the sweetest guy. I used hypoallergenic eye shadow it works great for lighter cats. My cats now are both too dark for makeup, so I have to settle for my self. Happy holidays, I'm off to go brave the mall to help my man shop for his family. xoxox
