We ended up at a house party that had a extensive collection of old Nagel prints. They had never seemed more amazing until I saw them all together. The lady in the black lived at the house and it was her birthday as well. I assume the shoes were hers and maybe other peoples too, they were hot.

Birthday Celebration
Here is what I wore to celebrate my birthday. It was a week late celebration, but very fun. We started out at the tonga room for crazy tikiness. The place is amazing with thunder storms and rain as well as a band that plays on a float in the middle of a lagoon. I then made my way to the cat club for some dancing, they played the best music.

Fringe and Fur
I got my fringe cut at work yesterday after getting bored with my hair, it's the usual, every couple months itch. My boss was kind enough to cut them, I'm really liking it. They're way more fun and now I look more like a stylist so I can talk to people about hair and accumulate some new clients. A duck into F21 was made today, I know, I know, the shopping ban, I needed some new jewelry, dammit. Everything was cheap so I didn't spend much. These glasses and the big silver necklace that you can sort of see in the photo came home with me.
A very productive day at Crossroads trading company was had today as well. I took some things in for trade that were no longer being worn and got almost 100$ for trade. I came out with a beautiful new "with tags" fleece oversized coat with huge buttons and big drapey sleeves, a really cool huge drapey, see thru, army green sweater and a black Jean Paul Gautier shirt. All amazing pieces that will get lots of wear, and go with my love of draping.
My new mantra for this year is quality not quantity. Replacing things with pieces of better quality will be fun. Whoever thought up shopping with out spending money deserves a big huge hug. This year I will limit myself to trading old clothing for new, instead of a all out ban, because that obviously didn't work.

New year, new path
For the new year, I have decided to see how much I can NOT shop. Yes, I said it, no shopping. I have so so so much already and I need to incorporate my wardrobe into new ideas. Last year was filled with way too much shopping as in a couple times a week. I have so many great pieces and yet they sit in the closet with out getting enough love because there are too many pieces to play with. In the mean time I will be trying to incorporate things I have not worn for a long time, mainly to see if I still want them around but also to have more fun with my wardrobe. I have to keep it very simple for work, only wearing black/white/grey. Sometimes I wear prints with other colors in them but it's rare for work. I have realized that I need more color in my life. On my days off I am planning on dressing with more color, it is much needed especially in the winter as I start to feel the winter blues. Heres to more color in my life. Blogger is not letting me upload any photos now, so maybe an update later. I went through all my old photos and found some really colorful outfits that I wanted to post to remind myself how much color I used to wear. Cheers to the new year!
I will be slowly adding lots of vintage things to my etsy store. I have cleaned out my closet and there will be lots of vintage dresses, a couple beautiful coats, and some blouses.

Inspiration, Japan!!
I love the androgyny of the Japanese. The coats in these photos are amazing too, the green velvet and green floor length are my faves here. All photos from Drop Snap.

Random vacation pictures!
I got to leave my lovely city to return to two of my favorite cities for the holidays. It was a extended trip filled with reconnecting with some of my bestest friends and dive bars where I hung out when I was a wee 21 year old. Funny thing is that my hometown hasn't changed much except for a ton of new chains stores like Target and Wallmart. It's a bit crazy and I tend to get lost easily because everywhere I go it looks completely new. I'm such a dork that many of my pictures were of peoples cute pets.

Happy New Year!
My lady kidnapped me from Portland to go to Seattle for new years eve. I was there for about one day and then back to Portland. I had a great time on new years eve with all the party hopping and hot tubbing early in the morning. I just wish I would have been able to reconnect with more friends, funny thing is a few of my friends were actually in SF. Tomorrow is my 31st birthday. It's quite amazing how time flies. I want to go bowling, it was a tradition when I lived in Seattle for about 10 years and I'm ready to start it again it. Happy new year, and Thanks again for reading about my life, how ever boring it might be. ;)
